What's The Difference In Strength Between A Flat White And A Latte?
BY Javaria Akbar
While you may think a flat white has more caffeine than a latte since the former isn't as milky, both use the same amount of espresso and are equally strong and caffeinated.
There are some differences, though. A latte is creamier and richer in texture, containing more milk and an extra foam layer; however, the milk dulls the espresso's intensity.
On the other hand, a flat white has less milk, which is steamed rather than frothed. Hence, the drink doesn't have the same foamy quality as a latte and is lighter and cleaner.
A latte has a mellower flavor, with the milk diluting the espresso. A latte doesn't get as cold as fast as a flat white and is served in a larger cup due to its high milk content.
