What You Need To Know Before Buying Tequila At Trader Joe's
By ARIANNA ENDICOTT
Trader Joe's has developed a cult following for their affordable, high-quality store-brand products, and the chain even offers their own brand of tequila. However, if you frequently go to another cult-following grocery store — Costco — you should know how Trader Joe's tequila stacks up against Costco's Kirkland Signature brand.
If you're looking to save money, Kirkland's Tequila Silver ($18.99 for a 1.75 L) offers over twice the amount of alcohol for almost the same price as Trader Joe's Tequila Blanco ($19.99 for 750 ml). Kirkland's tequila features a light agave flavor without much burning, while Trader Joe's tequila has notes of black pepper and citrus.
Whether you're mixing up margaritas or sipping it straight over ice, tequila is a great addition to any party, and choices mostly come down to personal taste. However, if you're planning on making drinks for a large amount of guests, you may want to consider Kirkland's tequila to save some cash, even if it's a bit less bold.
