What Happens To All The Unsold Produce At Costco?

When unsold produce like fruits and veggies go bad at Costco, they do so in large quantities. So, rather than trashing it all, Costco donates produce that can't be sold.
Any item that isn't rotting but has abnormalities, bruising, or excessive browning is donated to organizations like Feeding America or local food banks and shelters.
The ugly fruits and veggies that aren't necessarily good enough to be donated, such as an overly ripe banana or a strawberry, go to farms for livestock to enjoy.
