We Finally Know Who Makes Costco's Kirkland Spiced Rum

While older renditions of Kirkland's spiced run were sourced from the Caribbean island of St. Croix, Costco reworked the liquor several years ago, and it's now made by Sazerac Co.
This large company operates over 450 brands, owning familiar distilleries like Buffalo Trace. Rum isn't usually in their portfolio since their roots are in cognac.
The bottle is only $20 and is not made with traditional maceration techniques. For this reason, some drinkers aren't fans of the artificial palate and strong sweetness.
