Hot dogs are umami-rich and have a smoky flavor from the grill. The grill improves the flavor, but you can take that a step further by flavoring the hot dogs with steak seasoning.
The most straightforward way to apply steak seasoning is by sprinkling it over a split hot dog right before grilling. The incisions allow the dry powder to cling to the moist meat.
Another method is to roll hot dogs in oil, then in a helping of steak seasoning. Finally, a more advanced method involves creating a marinade for your hot dogs with the seasoning.
