Underrated Dunkin' Donut Flavors You Need To Enjoy More Often
BY Sara Klimek
Glazed Blueberry
Each bite of Dunkin's glazed blueberry donut hits your tastebuds with a blast of fruity flavor and some sweetness from the thin glaze coating.
The blueberry flavor isn't sickeningly sweet or obnoxiously artificial. You can see specks of blueberry across the donut, giving the impression that it’s made with fresh fruit.
Butternut
Butternut has an interesting appearance that resembles crushed, golden gravel. However, its coating is more complex than that of other donuts on Dunkin's menu.
Despite coconut being a prominent ingredient in the coating, this donut really tastes nothing like coconut. It's slightly nutty and complex, with caramel and sweet undertones.
Coffee Roll
While some argue that the Coffee Roll is more of a pastry than a donut, the brand considers it a donut rather than touting it as a "cinnamon roll."
It's almost like a repurposed donut that's been rolled out thinly and twisted in on itself, filled with a light, cinnamon sugar filling.
Sour Cream
Tasting Table ranked the sour cream donut high on this list of the best donuts at Dunkin', and unsurprisingly, it's also one of the most underrated.
Sour cream can add more moisture to baked goods, including this donut. It looks craggy, but those marks give the glaze more surface area to stick to, sweetening the donut.
Glazed Stick
Round donuts aren’t normally conducive to dunking into a cup of coffee, but Dunkin' also offers a glazed stick that will solve this problem.
The design of this donut is simple; it's like a glazed cake donut, just in stick form. However, the fact that it has tons of crags and ridges increases the amount of glaze on it.
