Transforming Oreos Into A Sushi-Inspired Dessert Couldn't Be Easier
BY MICHELLE WELSCH
If you enjoy biting into a freshly opened package of Oreo cookies as a sweet snack and look forward to nights when sushi is on the menu, we have a new recipe for you to try.
According to TikTok user Mariah Ortiz, this recipe uses Oreos, milk or condensed milk, and a dipping sauce, if desired. Like real sushi, making this dessert requires practice.
First, separate Oreos by scraping the center filling into one bowl and putting the cookies in another. Then, use a food processor or plastic bag to break the bits into fine pieces.
Add your choice of milk to the crumbs and stir until a dough-like paste forms. Roll the dough out flat on a sheet of parchment paper and spread the creamy filling over it.
Rolling the dessert is the hardest part. Using the parchment paper, saran wrap, or wax paper you rolled the dough out on, begin to roll the dessert into a long, round cylinder.
Dress up your Oreo roll with shredded coconut, sesame seeds, chopped nuts, or a drizzle of chocolate sauce, then slice and plate with dipping sauce or ice cream.
