Transform Canned Cinnamon Rolls Into Bread Pudding With A Few Additions
BY AUSTIN HAVENS-BOWEN
To transform canned cinnamon rolls into breakfast-worthy bread pudding, all you need is chopped pecans, milk, heavy cream, eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, and powdered sugar.
This dish only takes 10 minutes of prep work and an hour in the oven, giving you plenty of time to drink your coffee and make the rest of your breakfast.
Pop open the can of cinnamon rolls and cook them per package instructions. Ensure they're fully cooked so they don't end up mushy when you later combine them with milk.
Next, cut them into bite-sized pieces and allow them to sit for 20 minutes in the mix of other ingredients. Bake them for 35 to 40 minutes in a 350-degree Fahrenheit oven.
You can also customize the recipe by using orange cinnamon rolls, mixing cocoa powder with the icing ingredients, swapping pecans with walnuts, or adding bourbon to the sauce.
