Traditional Tasting Gyros Use These Seasonings

While Gyros come in many different forms, a common set of spices make up the foundation of most recipes: salt, pepper, garlic, onion, and paprika.
Whether your gyro meat is chicken, pork, or beef and lamb, this spice blend is the traditional mix used for the Greek dish, which brings it a Mediterranean flavor.
There can also be a mix of dried herbs in a traditional recipe. While oregano is the most common, some recipes use rosemary, marjoram, thyme, or a combination of all.
