This Surprising Spice Will Take Your Scrambled Eggs Up A Notch

Scrambled eggs in their basic form are as delicious as can be, but if you have a few extra minutes to spare, they're worth jazzing up with a few extra ingredients. While most people add shredded cheese, black pepper, or a few chives, there's one seasoning that packs even more flavor: garlic powder.
Garlic is part of the allium family and contains pungent chemical compounds "that attack our taste buds and olfactory receptors" and make our senses light up, Serious Eats explains. This means that while garlic has its own unique flavor, it also helps to boost the other flavors in your scrambled eggs.
With the sole addition of garlic powder, you can still enjoy the simplicity of scrambled eggs, but in an elevated way. For the best results, Spoon University recommends adding a teaspoon for every serving, when the eggs are already in the pan and you see they've just started to cook.
