This Lemon Drop Cocktail Only Requires A Few Simple Ingredients

If you want a cocktail that's a guaranteed crowd pleaser yet easy to make, look no further than the lemon drop, which only requires a vodka base, lemon juice, and simple syrup.
You'll sometimes see an orange liqueur substituted in for the simple syrup or added in as a fourth ingredient. The cocktail is typically garnished with a lemon peel.
The ingredients should be poured into a shaker with ice, given a good shake, and double strained before being served up. It's typically served in a martini glass with a sugar rim.
You can incorporate more citrus flavor as well as get the sugar to stick by running a lemon wedge around the edge of the glass before dipping it into a plate of sugar.
