Zucchini is a unique veggie in that it's used in both savory dishes and sweets like zucchini bread. To creatively play up the sweet side of this squash, try adding strawberries.
Strawberries and zucchini can be combined in many different ways for a juicy taste of summer. The soft berries work well as a sweet garnish for crisp grilled zucchini.
A delicate strawberry dressing also enhances the freshness of zucchini noodles. Be sure to pick the freshest and ripest berries and squash available for these dishes.
You can grill both the berries and zucchini to accompany salmon or steak, or top a zucchini brownie or bread slice with strawberries and balsamic vinegar for an amazing dessert.
