The Trick To Freezing Big-Batch Smoothies For Fast Drinks
BY CHLOE O'DONNELL
Mixing up a giant batch of smoothies to drink throughout the week is a great way to meal prep and there are actually a couple of ways to store them in your freezer.
If you have room for it, small mason jars with lids are a good choice since you can stack them and drink straight from them. If not, plastic zip-top bags are the way to go.
Freezing your smoothies will help stop them from becoming too thin, which can happen if you use a lot of frozen fruit. Another option is to prep your ingredients instead.
Putting the prepped ingredients in individual bags and freezing them will make it so all you have to do is pour them into the blender and add the wet ingredients.
