The Tiny Tweak To Fix Hash Browns That Aren't Crispy Enough
BY Austin Havens-Bowen
While hash browns are easy to cook, there are many factors that can lead to being soggy or undercooked. However, one easy tip to make them crispy is to make them thin in the pan.
For this trick, use shredded hash browns that you pan fry. When you form those shredded hash browns into a piece, make them thinner than usual before they hit the sizzling oil.
You can make small pieces with the shredded hash browns for individual servings or fill the pan with one large piece. Regardless, make sure they are a half-inch in thickness.
