The Super Simple Way To Fake A Seared Steak In The Air Fryer
BY GRETA PANO
You might assume that you have to grill or pan-sear your steak to get a beautiful crispy exterior, but air frying can deliver a delicious and very convenient seared steak as well.
To get a good sear, simply coat both sides of the steak in olive oil before air frying. Olive oil creates a caramelized and crispy crust without adding too much of its own flavor.
You should also add seasonings to the steak while basting it with oil. Then, place your steak in the air fryer set to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and let it cook for 3 minutes.
Finally, flip your steak and cook for another three minutes to ensure. The recommended cook times are 7 to 8 minutes for medium rare, 10 to 12 for medium, and 14 for medium well.
