The Starbucks Tropical Smoothie Hack That Landed On The Menu

Starbucks' Frozen Pineapple Passionfruit Lemonade Refresher is a popular menu option that may have been inspired by customers' customizations to Starbucks Refreshers Beverages.
The drink is an ice-blended beverage that incorporates tropical flavors through lemonade, strawberry purée, a pineapple passionfruit Refreshers base, and freeze-dried pineapple.
The chain's Frozen Lemonade Refreshers were launched in June 2023, but customers had been finagling the Refreshers Beverages secret menu long beforehand to make the drink.
However, they had been using the regular Pineapple Passionfruit Lemonade Refresher along with ingredients like strawberry purée, and the blended beverage option.
Starbucks' Matt Thornton hinted at this in a 2023 Starbucks Story, saying the new Frozen Lemonade Refreshers were "inspired by these customer and partner creations."
