The Starbucks Instant Powder You Need To Craft The Pink Drink At Home
BY VANESSA NIX ANTHONY
Starbucks fans who want to save money can DIY their favorite drinks at home, and the iconic Pink Drink is one of the easiest, so long as you have a certain ingredient.
You’ll need Starbucks Very Berry Hibiscus powder to replicate this beverage as accurately as possible. The company sells this ingredient at standard grocery stores.
Besides the hibiscus powder, you'll need Tazo Iced Passion tea concentrate (or strongly-brewed hibiscus tea in its place), coconut milk, and freeze-dried strawberry slices.
Combine one packet of hibiscus powder with one cup of tea concentrate and 16 ounces of water. Toss in a handful of strawberry slices and fill the rest of the cup with coconut milk.
Starbucks also sells a ready-to-drink, bottled Pink Drink that's cheaper than buying it from a cafe location. Instead of $4.95 for 12 ounces, it’s around $3.67 for 14 ounces.
