The Starbucks Drink With The Most Caffeine
BY NIKKI MUNOZ
Starbucks is full of caffeinated drinks, but one of these drinks has much more caffeine than the others. The most caffeinated Starbucks drink is the blonde roast brewed coffee.
The blonde roast contains 360 milligrams of caffeine in a 16-fluid-ounce drink. In comparison, a grande dark roast has just 260 milligrams of caffeine and a medium roast has 310.
For those who prefer cold drinks, Starbucks Iced Coffee has 165 milligrams of caffeine while Starbucks Cold Brew Coffee boasts 205 milligrams.
The Iced Green Tea and the Iced Black Tea have 25 milligrams of caffeine, Chai Tea has 40 milligrams, and a Matcha Tea Latte has 80 milligrams.
The Starbucks Refreshers, which are made from green coffee beans, range from 45 to 50 milligrams of caffeine in a grande depending on the flavor.
Espressos with two shots will contain about 150 milligrams of caffeine. Iced Shaken Espresso and Americanos have three espresso shots and 225 milligrams of caffeine.
To put this in perspective, the Mayo Clinic asserts that about 400 milligrams of caffeine per day is safe. Therefore, a second cup of Starbucks blonde roast may not be a good idea.
