The Spicy In-N-Out Topping To Enhance Your Burger
BY JEN PENG
In-N-Out has cemented its reputation as a West Coast cult favorite, thanks in part to the endless options for customizing your burger, including a special spicy topping.
If you want to add a little spice to your In-N-Out, ask for chili peppers. You can order the peppers either chopped and mixed into your burger or whole, served on the side.
The fast food spot will typically offer cascabella peppers, which look like banana peppers or pepperoncinis, but are quite spicy at 1,500 to 5,000 units on the Scoville scale.
However, due to a 2023 shortage of cascabella peppers, not all In-N-Out locations have the chilis in stock, so you might end up with banana peppers, which are more mild.
