The Spiced Whiskey Cocktail Meghan Markle Loves To Serve Guests
By MICHELLE WELSCH
Before she officially became a royal, Meghan Markle starred in the show "Suits" and ran her lifestyle blog, The Tig. Through her blog, Markle shared a variety of tips on travel, shopping, food, and even cocktails, including a festive whiskey-based drink that can be easily customized, so all your guests in attendance can have a drink that suits their palate.
To make Markle's festive spice almond milk cocktail, you’ll need to mix almond milk, cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, cloves, and dates—as a sweetener—before adding your choice of bourbon or whiskey. The mentioned ingredients need to be blended before being transferred to a saucepan where they will be heated, followed by an optional garnish of cinnamon sticks.
For a cooler serving, the same recipe can be used and shaken in a cocktail shaker, and champagne glasses can be rimmed with cinnamon and sugar for a more delicate presentation. You can also adjust Markle's recipe with honey, and since the drink isn't too heavy on the alcohol, the amount of booze can also be adjusted or eliminated.
