The Simple Strawberry Mousse That's Perfect For Summer
BY STEPHANIE FRIEDMAN
You can make an easy strawberry mousse with just fruit and heavy cream. Everything simply sits in the fridge until chilled, letting you spend less time in the kitchen.
To make your strawberry mousse, you'll first need to secure the main ingredient — either a purée or jam. Feel free to use frozen (then thawed) fruit to make it.
To nail the light, fluffy texture of mousse, beat your heavy cream until you get stiff peaks by using either electric beaters, a stand mixer, or a whisk and your arm muscles.
Then, all you have to do is fold in your purée or jam gently, making sure not to flatten the cream. Put your dessert in the fridge for at least an hour, and then it’s ready to eat.
