The Simple Ice Cup Hack To Keep A Pitcher Of Beer Cold
BY KAT LIEU
If you find yourself without chilled mugs and aren't keen on watering down your beer with ice cubes, simply use an ice cup to keep your pitcher of beer cold.
First, fill a plastic cup with ice, then transfer it to the pitcher of beer and let it float within. The cup of ice will act as an ice pack, keeping it cold without diluting it.
This will ensure that your beer stays at an optimal temperature, ideally from 38 to 55 degrees Fahrenheit. Remember to carefully remove the cup of ice before pouring your beer.
If you don't have a plastic cup, a sealed plastic bag can give you the same results with less risk of spillage. Just fill one up with ice, seal it, and lay it on top of the beer.
