The Simple French Meal Ina Garten Can't Miss When In Paris
BY CYRENA GOURDEAU
Paris is an incredibly popular city for tourists and reportedly boasts over 44,000 eateries and restaurants to choose from, which can make picking a place for dinner quite overwhelming. Luckily, celebrity chef and cookbook writer Ina Garten knows one Parisian dining spot where you can't go wrong for a classic French meal.
Garten revealed that her favorite Parisian dinner is an omelette, green salad, and a glass of champagne at Café de Flore, located in Paris' left-bank neighborhood Saint-Germain-des-Prés. The eatery has a long history of being frequented by other illustrious figures, such as surrealist writer André Breton and philosopher Albert Camus.
Writer James Baldwin also wrote his famous novel "Go Tell It on the Mountain" at Café de Flore, where he subsisted on coffee and cognac. The free Wi-Fi available at the Parisian spot will even allow you to set up shop with a laptop and get some work done, or you can simply enjoy the view and the delicious and simple food.
