The Simple Dipping Technique For Perfect Iced Oatmeal Cookies
BY ANNA STAROPOLI
Oatmeal cookies can be iced in a few ways, but one of the easiest is dipping. All you have to do is slowly and carefully dip the top of each cookie into a bowl of icing.
Be sure to lightly dip the cookies into the bowl, because a little icing can go a long way. You don't want the excess to drip down the sides of the cookie and make it look sloppy.
To make a suitable icing for dipping, combine powdered sugar with water, milk, or cream. You’ll want to create a mixture that is thick, but not so thick that you can't pour it.
Once you've dipped all your cookies, let the icing set by putting them on a wire rack for around 30 minutes. Finally, enjoy your tasty, not-too-sugary, and perfectly iced cookies.
