The Secret To Utterly Craveable Greek Salad Is Much More Feta
BY SYLVIA TOMCZAK
Knowing how to distribute your ingredients is crucial for a flavorful salad. In the case of classic Greek salad, a better-tasting result is a matter of adding more feta.
However, rather than tossing in feta by the fistful, use the cheese more effectively by mixing it directly into the dressing so that every bite is full of creamy, tangy goodness.
Mash half of your feta in a bowl and add a splash of lemon, red wine vinegar, and a drizzle of olive oil to make the dressing. Toss the salad and finish with the remaining feta.
Use a high-quality feta, like traditional Greek feta packed in brine and bearing a PDO label. It has a finer, creamier texture and a robust tang.
Also, rather than using crumbled cheese, cut the feta into blocks to have more control over the size. You'll get cheese in every bite of salad, with it tasting overwhelming.
