The Secret Ingredient That Gives Ina Garten's Banana Bread Crunch

If you want your banana bread to have a little extra crunch, Ina Garten suggests adding a hearty cup of granola, as noted in a recipe in her "The Barefoot Contessa Cookbook."
The granola makes the bread a bit more hearty and filling and provides a good crunch. While Garten's specific recipe is for muffins, it can easily be adapted into a loaf.
The granola can be added to your favorite banana bread recipe along with other crunchy ingredients. Just add the granola into the batter at the end with other add-ins.
