The Satisfying Snack That Gives A New Meaning To Wonton Wrappers
BY SIMONE GERBER
Wonton wrappers are good for more than crab rangoon and dumpling soup. They can also become delicious wonton crackers in no time at all.
Cut your wonton sheets into different shapes if you like, then arrange them onto a baking sheet, brush them with oil, and bake at 375°F until golden and crispy.
Toss the crackers with any flavorings or seasonings you like right after baking them. These crispy snacks are perfect for dipping, crumbling over other dishes, or eating alone.
Try sprinkling Japanese furikake over wonton chips and eating them with tuna salad. Use chili-lime for a guacamole pairing, or try parmesan-garlic for an Italian twist.
For a sweet twist, add cinnamon sugar or salted caramel to your wonton crackers. You can even sprinkle sugar over them before baking and use them as a base for campfire s'mores.
