The Rotisserie Chicken Jean-Georges Vongerichten Turns To For Quick Meals
By MELISSA CORBIN
With the convenience of frozen dinners and takeout, no one would judge you for occasionally opting out of a homemade meal. However, there’s a better way to get quick meals, and renowned chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten is a fan of using this store's rotisserie chicken as a base for easy dinners, whether a casual meal or a dinner party.
According to Vongerichten, "If I have to pull off a last-minute meal and I don't have time to make something from scratch, I grab an organic rotisserie chicken from Eataly." Eataly’s rotisserie chickens are sourced from local farms and come in at about $5.80 per pound, but really you can get a rotisserie chicken from almost any grocery store.
Costco is another great place to grab a rotisserie chicken or opt for Whole Foods for an all-natural, organic option. Once purchased, the chicken can be served simply or added to your favorite pasta or salad, just remember to take another tip from Vongerichten and use the bones to make broth for another meal.
