The Rich Secrets For Ina Garten’s Chocolate Mousse

Chef Ina Garten makes a masterpiece out of chocolate mousse, with the help of a few extra ingredients that deepen the chocolate flavor and give the dish a caffeinated kick.
Garten’s Easy Chocolate Mousse recipe includes two different types of chocolate: bittersweet and milk. Garten suggests the brand Lindt, but any option will work.
While some recipes for chocolate mousse only include chocolate and eggs, Garten’s recipe also incorporates sugar, cold heavy cream, and vanilla extract.
Garten then adds brewed espresso or strong coffee, which deepens and enhances the chocolate taste without adding an overpowering jolt of java.
The recipe also includes ¼ cup of the coffee liqueur Kahlúa, which subtly accentuates the chocolate. This is one mousse that's worth the effort for an elegant party dessert.
