The Reason Air Fryers Often Yield The Juiciest Chicken Breasts
By WILLIAM DELONG
The key to delectably cooked meat is juiciness, but how you can achieve that juiciness depends on the type of meat. While techniques like using marinades, brines, and sauces may be helpful, the best way to find juiciness is through the way you cook the meat, and when it comes to chicken breasts, using the air fryer may be the way to go.
An air fryer’s ability to create juicy chicken is due to three things, the first of which is the high heat, which quickly creates a brown, crispy layer on the outside of the chicken. It also provides constant airflow, helping the chicken to cook quickly and evenly, and has a fast internal fan that makes the outer layer even crispier.
To try it out in your own air fryer, rub both sides of two boneless, skinless chicken breasts with a light coating of olive oil and your choice of seasonings. Then cook at 360 degrees Fahrenheit for nine minutes, take them out, flip them over, and cook for another nine minutes for the juiciest, crispiest, most savory chicken breasts.
