The Popular Cheese Brand You Should Leave Out Of Your Shopping Cart
BY JOHN DELOSS
Publix grocery stores are known for their excellent deli counters with in-house branded deli meat and cheeses, but you should pass on the Publix-brand cheddar for a few reasons.
According to customers, the cheddar has a lackluster flavor that doesn’t hold its own as a snacking cheese, and it certainly doesn’t live up to the store’s other cheeses.
Publix offers a variety of in-house branded cheeses including specialty options like Swiss, asiago, and brie, which the brand seemingly put more effort into than its cheddar.
The cheddar was better when grated and used in a recipe rather than enjoyed on its own. While it might be fine for your next home-cooked meal, you're better off avoiding it.
