You don’t have to be a foodie to know that pizza originated in Italy, and while the country is still slinging classic pies, pizza is now popular worldwide in many variations. From New York to Naples, everyone has an opinion on which city has the best pizza, but a small town in Pennsylvania might actually be the world's pizza capital.

Old Forge, a small town in Northeastern Pennsylvania, dishes out its own unique style of pizza, and after taking a bite of your “cut,” your taste buds might just tell you it’s the best in the world. The pizza only comes in red or white, and although they’re both technically “Old Forge” pizzas, they’re very different from each other.

Red pizza is a cheesy Sicilian-style pizza, with crispy, spongy crust, a coating of sweet red sauce, and a sprinkling of American, mozzarella, and cheddar cheeses. The white pizza is double-crusted like a calzone, and although it comes sauceless, it’s stuffed with the same cheese blend and topped with an herby, rosemary spice blend.
