The Pasta Dish Anthony Bourdain Considered The Best In The World
BY Michelle Welsch
In an episode of "No Reservations," Anthony Bourdain is seen sitting down at an outdoor table in Rome, gushing over cacio e pepe, which he calls a quintessentially Roman dish.
After taking a bite out of the pasta dish, Bourdain says, "I'm sure this is illegal somewhere." He later adds that the dish may be the "greatest thing in the history of the world."
The waiter explained that the pasta water was cooked with butter and fresh black pepper before freshly made homemade pasta and Pecorino cheese were added to the mix.
As he eats, Bourdain suggests that the eatery should be concealed and renamed "Restaurant X" during filming so that he doesn't destroy what he loves by showcasing the restaurant.
As it turns out, he enjoyed the pasta dish at Sparita. Expect the dish to cost you about $16 and make reservations, as Bourdain’s show has now increased the eatery’s popularity.
