The Only Way Frank Sinatra Drank His Favorite Whiskey,
Jack Daniel's
BY AUTUMN SWIERS
Frank Sinatra liked to sip Jack Daniel's "Sinatra-style," a two-finger pour of whiskey with three ice cubes and a splash of water in a rocks glass.
Per the lore, it started in 1947 when Sinatra went to a New York City bar with Jackie Gleason. Sinatra said he wanted a "serious" drink, and Gleason suggested Jack Daniels.
In 2012, Jack Daniels debuted a permanent "Sinatra Select" line. As the website puts it, Sinatra Select is a bottle that "pays tribute to Jack's biggest fan."
