The Only Ingredients You Need For Cinnamon-Roll Flavored Hotteok
BY MICHELLE WELSCH
Hotteok is a Korean flour-based pancake filled with a sweet, sugary, nutty paste. To recreate them at home, all you need is a can of premade biscuits.
You can use Pillsbury rolls or your favorite doughy brand. This creates the exterior layer that you fill with the paste made from brown sugar and cinnamon.
Mold the doughy biscuit around a scoop or two of filling and fold the biscuit to secure the filling inside it. Pan fry the filled pancakes until the exterior is golden and crispy.
Press each hotteok's surface lightly down onto your griddle to ensure even temperature and cooking. If you want, experiment with the dish by using different kinds of fillings.
