The One Coffee Brand Ina Garten Can't Live Without
BY KAREN HART
Chef Ina Garten prefers to buy coffee produced by a New York City company known for its small-batch approach: Dallis Brothers, in business since 1913.
On the company's website, Dallis Brothers describes its products as "high-end specialty coffee" that uses "specialty grade, direct trade" beans purchased directly from farmers.
Garten told Bon Appetit that she enjoys both regular coffee and espresso from Dallis Brothers. She skips sweetener, saying, "I find sugar in coffee to be bitter, ironically."
Garten likes to add only milk to her coffee. Both sugar and milk can disguise coffee's bitterness, but like Garten, some coffee lovers enjoy only one of these additions.
