The Notable Difference In Caffeine In A Latte Vs. Regular Coffee
By KATHERINE BECK
Whether your coffee break is in the early morning, late night, or afternoon, picking between a latte or a regular coffee can have a major impact on the caffeine boost you receive.
Espresso has a reputation for being highly caffeinated, but a shot can have between 29-100 milligrams of caffeine, while a standard cup of coffee has around 96 milligrams.
You might think that these levels would even out, but lattes dilute the espresso with milk, further decreasing the overall caffeine capacity compared to plain coffee.
However, these are just estimates, and for both drinks, it’s relatively easy to increase caffeine by upping the ratio of coffee grounds to water or adding extra espresso shots.
