The Mess-Free Cooking Method For Easy Hot Dogs
By STEPHANIE FRIEDMAN
A classic hot dog is usually grilled or pan-fried, but it can be hard to do an even cooking job, and sometimes you want the easiest path possible to a frank in a bun smothered in ketchup, mustard, relish, or whatever else you please. Luckily, there's a mess-free method for cooking hot dogs using a very convenient appliance.
To make perfect hot dogs, all you need is an air fryer, and the franks only need five minutes in the air fryer to get nice and toasty. Make sure to turn them halfway through cooking, and once the hot dogs are done, you can even put them in buns, pop the whole thing back in the air fryer for two minutes, and toast the buns that way.
Make sure the hot dogs are in an even layer in the air fryer basket, with none of them overlapping, and you'll end up with great dogs with none of the mess that comes with other cooking methods. Plus, you can use the air fryer to make hot dogs in the winter months, when you may not want to go outside and grill.
