The Measuring Mistake To Avoid When Making Instant Coffee
BY NIKITA EPHANOV
Instant coffee comes with pitfalls, especially during the measuring process. To minimize them, closely monitor how many scoops go into a cup and adjust with a precise water ratio.
For most instant brands, you'll need six fluid ounces, which is considered the standard size. This is a different volume than a customary cup, leading to measuring mistakes.
Additionally, this standard volume varies globally, like in Japan, where a cup is just shy of seven ounces. Pouring exactly six ounces guarantees stronger, more flavorful results.
To better control whether a cup comes out weak or strong, experiment by adding varying quantities of grounds rather than water. This will help ease measurements.
