The Mashup Ben & Jerry's Flavor Named For The Barenaked Ladies
By LAUREN ROTHMAN
Ben & Jerry’s has been a top-notch ice cream brand for over 40 years, best known for its creatively-named and -flavored pints chock full of add-ins. Ben & Jerry's biggest inspirations for flavors often come from the entertainment industry, and they even created a special chocolate-packed pint in honor of rock band The Barenaked Ladies.
The ice cream, called If I Had 1,000,000 Flavors, is a reference to the Barenaked Ladies' hit song "If I Had $1,000,000." The rockin’ flavor is a chocolate and vanilla duo mixed with fudge-covered toffee, white chocolate chunks, peanut butter cups, and fudge-covered almonds, and proceeds from sales even go to a good cause.
Not only is this ice cream an excellent choice for chocolate lovers, but a portion of the proceeds benefits ABC Literacy, a Canadian organization for adult literacy. Other musical Ben & Jerry's flavors include Cherry Garcia for the Grateful Dead, Mint Chocolate Chance for Chance the Rapper, and Goodbye Yellow Brickle Road for Elton John.
