The Major Benefit Of Using A Pellet Smoker
By MEGGAN ROBINSON
Pellet smokers, made by popular brands such as Traeger, Yoder, Weber, and Camp Chef, are unique, high-tech devices that allow cooks to set a temperature on their smoker.
Pellet smokers self-regulate the chosen temperature by auto-feeding themselves pellets of tamped sawdust fuel, unlike ordinary smokers that require manual regulation.
The pellet smoker is truly the "set it and forget it" device of the smoker market, though these smokers are relatively expensive compared to more traditional smoker models.
Cooks are also able to purchase different wood pellets that add their own unique flavor to smoked foods, including hickory, pecan, alder, maple, or fragrant apple wood pellets.
