The Kitchen Appliance That Makes Egg Salad Quicker Than Ever
By JOE DILLARD
Egg salad is a tasty way to get an extra boost of protein in your diet, and can be customized to suit anyone's personal tastes. However, making egg salad can be a hassle because it involves boiling eggs to the perfect doneness; still, there are ways to make this step easier, especially if you own this one kitchen appliance.
Common tricks for boiling and peeling eggs perfectly include dunking your eggs in an ice bath or boiling them in baking soda, but these methods aren't always reliable. The most consistent and reliable method for faster, easier egg salad involves cooking the eggs in an Instant Pot — and you don't even have to peel them afterward.
With the Instant Pot, you can quickly cook eggs into an egg loaf that's super easy to chop up and toss with dressing. Simply crack raw eggs into a greased cake pan, set the Instant Pot to pressure cook, and cook the eggs for about 10 minutes; also, line the bottom of the pan with parchment paper to get the eggs out more easily.
