The Inexpensive Addition For Perfectly Moist Banana Bread

Banana bread is beloved by many home bakers because it’s easy to make and it can be customized in a number of ways. Whether you have a go-to banana bread recipe or enjoy trying new ones, sometimes you can make one that results in a dry bread; luckily, there’s a surprising go-to pantry staple that's perfect for the job.
Vanilla instant pudding mix is the key to perfectly moist banana bread — it’s the secret ingredient that celebrity chef and television personality Chrissy Teigen relies on in her famous banana bread recipe. Simply mix a 3.5-ounce box of vanilla instant pudding (not the cook-and-serve variety) into the recipe's dry ingredients.
While you can prepare the bread in two 8x4-inch loaf pans, Teigen recommends using a Bundt pan for the moistest banana bread. After it cools completely, lay a paper towel on the bottom of an airtight container, place the loaf on top, and cover it with another paper towel before sealing to help the bread retain moisture and stay fresh for up to four days.
