The Iced Latte Flavor At Starbucks With Hit-Or-Miss Texture
By Eibhlis Gale-Coleman
An aesthetic Starbucks Iced Matcha Latte is enough to turn most people's eyes green with envy, but the drink's consistency can all too easily become a catastrophe.
Customers routinely complain of clumpy and badly dispersed matcha. According to Starbucks baristas, this is because mixing cold milk with insoluble matcha is difficult.
Matcha should be shaken or whisked, never stirred, to avoid lumpiness. However, not all baristas know this, and the lack of a consistent process could leave you with lumpy drinks.
Still, the matcha lattes are worth it if you're feeling adventurous. While the consistency disappoints some, others rave about the beverage, and matcha powder is very healthy.
