The Hot Dog Condiment Tip That'll Keep Eating More Mess-Free
By KATHERINE BECK
This method works not just for condiments, but also for toppings like relish, coleslaw, and sauerkraut, which can create a nice little nest to cradle the hot dog. In this case, spoon the topping onto the bun and create a slight indentation in the center, in which you'll place the hot dog once you’re finished adding accouterments.
To craft a neater hot dog, place the condiments on the bun instead of drizzling it on top of the hot dog, where it's more likely to get all over your face or fingers. Squirt your condiment onto the bun and use a butter knife to spread it on the sides of the bread, which is also helpful for scraping off any excess sauce you don't want.
