The Foolproof Technique For Closing Your Plastic Bread Bag
BY JAVARIA AKBAR
To keep your bread fresh, closing the plastic bag securely is important. For longer-lasting loaves, try twisting the loose end of the bag and wrapping it over the loaf like a hood.
Take the loose end of the bag and grab it at the point where it meets the bread. Use your free hand to grab the bread and spin it two to three times to twist the bag.
Still using your one free hand, grab the loose plastic at the top of the bag that isn't twisted, fan it out, and carefully pull it back over the bread to seal it.
By using this technique, you're essentially encasing the remaining bread with a double wrap that won't unravel, keeping the bread well covered and preventing it from going stale.
