The Fancy Ingredients David Chang Adds To Level Up Popeyes Biscuits

If there’s one thing that fans of chef David Chang know, it’s his love for both Popeyes and caviar. It’s no shock that Chang loves combining the two for a deliciously unique meal.
In a TikTok video, the professional chef dubs the combo of caviar and a Popeyes biscuit "surf and turf" and calls it one of his "favorite things to eat on special occasions."
Popeyes buttermilk biscuits allow the flavor of those salted, cured fish eggs to shine, while butter adds a creamy element that makes for a lovely bite for your taste buds.
When it comes to the type of caviar, the "The Next Thing You Eat" host likes to get a Idahoan brand called Regalis. He even has a co-branded line with the company.
Chang's love for marrying caviar with the unexpected spills over to the menu of his restaurant where he serves it up alongside another Southern favorite: Fried chicken.
According to his website, Chang pairs fried chicken with "Platinum Osetra Caviar, chive crepes, crème fraîche, white BBQ sauce and potato chips."
