Americans may produce and eat tons of beef, but the World Population Review says Argentina consumed the most beef in 2022 — precisely, 45.95 kilograms (over 100 pounds) per capita.
The U.S. ranked second at nearly 84 pounds per capita. The Democratic Republic of Congo, in contrast, consumed the least beef, with individuals eating about half a pound per year.
Argentina's wide grasslands are ideal for raising cattle, but its rate of beef consumption has reduced in the last few years due to economic issues like inflation and low wages.
