The Country That Consumes The Most Pasta Worldwide Is No Surprise

Although pasta may have originated in China, Italy perfected it. It comes as no surprise then that Italy holds the title for the highest pasta consumption globally.
A 2022 survey from Statista highlights this supremacy, revealing that Italians devour an impressive average of 23 kilograms of pasta per
person annually.
Italy was followed by Tunisia, at 17 kilograms, while Germany scored lower still, at 7.9 kilograms.
The legacy of pasta in Italy, along with its vast array of regional varieties, shows that pasta is more than just a meal — it's the heart of their cultural and culinary identity.
