The Concept Restaurant Michael Symon Thinks Is A Can't Miss

Michael Symon is a celebrated Food Network chef and restaurateur who grew up in Ohio and continues to call Cleveland home. The celeb chef loves to support local eateries, and when asked about his pick for a must-eat restaurant in his home city, Symon gave a surprising answer.
When a fan on Twitter asked Symon for the best restaurant in Cleveland for an anniversary dinner, Symon simply replied, "Zhug." Symon followed up with praise for Zhug's owner, Doug Katz, writing, "Katz is killing it with his places..taking chances..pushing boundaries & making really amazing food."
Zhug debuted in November 2019, with a focus on Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisine; the restaurant is named after a spicy Yemeni condiment made with coriander, garlic, and olive oil. Katz takes inspiration from food he ate in Tel Aviv, Israel, including curried braised lamb hummus and a smoked pastrami dish.
